疲劳断裂是金属构件断裂的主要形式之一,在金属构件疲劳断裂失效分析基础上形成和发展了疲劳学科。自从Wöhler的经典疲劳著作发表以来,人们充分地研究了不同材料在各种不同载荷和环境条件下试验时的疲劳性能。尽管大多数工程技术人员和设计人员已经注意到疲劳问题,而且已积累了大量的实验数据,目前仍然有许多设备和机器发生疲劳断裂。
